Nurse Manager – Mother Baby Unit
The Clinical Manager of the Mother-Baby Unit is responsible for the operational and fiscal management of the department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and fostering a supportive, empowering environment for staff. Education & Experience :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required)2–3 years of obstetrical / neonatal clinical experience (preferred)Two or more years in a leadership or management role (preferred)Proven communication and interpersonal skills, with adaptability and dedication to team successLicenses & Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) – required upon hireNeonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required within six monthsKey Responsibilities :
Quality & Discharge Management :
Conduct unit reports, bedside rounds, discharge rounds, and quality reviews to monitor care outcomesAssist with complex discharge planning and ensure smooth patient transitionsStaff Development & Education :
Identify and address learning needs for team membersOversee orientation and provide real-time coaching to promote professional growth and quality carePatient & Family-Centered Care :
Facilitate informed decision-making by clearly explaining care plans, risks, benefits, and expected outcomesMaintain a supportive and ethical care environmentQuality Improvement & Policy Compliance :
Lead performance improvement efforts and update policies to reflect best practicesTrack and address variations in patient outcomes, using data to guide action plansInterdisciplinary Collaboration :
