Responsibilities
Our engineers have the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, coordinate with diverse engineering teams and ensure project success. A typical day may include developing design studies, preparing engineering calculations & analysis, attending project meetings, performing a walkdown or mentoring junior employees. We help you apply your skills to exciting and important projects. You will also need to :

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in related field for the position and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experienceExperience in one of the following industries required : engineering / design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial including chemical or pulp & paper, and government (DOE) projectsNuclear Engineering Change qualifications from any site that can be transferred are preferred10CFR50.59 Screen and / or Evaluation qualifications that can be transferred are preferredKnowledge of digital hardware and software components commonly used in digital I&C system platformsExperience in the design, installation, and testing of large scale (complete systems) digital control and computer monitoring system upgrades at power plantsTypes of upgrades include replacement of Turbine / Generator Control Systems with DCS platforms, process computer, and cybersecurity systemsDirect involvement in the entire digital upgrade life cycle including feasibility studies, procurement specifications, design change packages, FAT / SAT test procedure development, installation, and testingWorking knowledge of the application of current regulatory and industry digital upgrade standardsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in a team environmentStrong analytical skills and problem identification / resolutionCandidates who have mentorship experience or a desire to mentor early to mid career engineers preferredMust be able to get badged at a nuclear facilityMust be able to perform plant walkdownsAbout ENERCON
