Overview

Join to apply for the IT Operations Support Senior Specialist role at FastTek Global . This position is based in Dearborn, MI and focuses on Cohesity backup administration during a critical global rollout.

Responsibilities

  • Architect resilience by designing, engineering, and ensuring the reliable operation of the Cohesity backup infrastructure.
  • Lead automation efforts to remove manual work, including automation of Cohesity protection group creation / deletion and streamlining GitHub workflows for infrastructure changes.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security measures, including access controls and monitoring aligned with DLP and insider threat mitigation.
  • Configure and maintain Cohesity backup servers and software to ensure peak performance and seamless operation.
  • Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity during failures or threats.
  • Monitor usage patterns and SLA metrics, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain availability and reliability.
  • Analyze capacity and performance trends to anticipate future infrastructure needs and guide investment priorities.
  • Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches and enhancements to keep systems running smoothly.

  • Senior Specialist with 7+ years of experience
  • Local to Dearborn
  • Cohesity backup experience
  • Proficient in Windows Server and Linux Server administration
  • Proficient in GitHub and storing code in repositories
  • Strong automation skills and an automation-first mindset
  • Strong knowledge of Windows PowerShell
  • Ansible knowledge
  • General CI / CD pipeline experience
  • Must be a team player with a positive and collaborative attitude
