Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of vascular or interventional experience and ARRT (R) certification.
Responsibilities
Position is based in an interventional radiology unitDay shifts with four 10-hour shifts per weekInvolvement with adult vascular and interventional patient casesProcedures include angiography, SIRT mapping / treatments, embolizations, nephrostomy tube and biliary tube placements, CT-guided drains, biopsies, ablations, and Neuro-IR stroke and diagnostic proceduresRole includes support as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring technologistUses EPIC EMR systemResponsible for completing angiography procedures including scrubbing, setting techniques, and image acquisitionProvides procedural assistance and maintains patient comfort while ensuring safety and radiation best practicesAssists with complex interventional procedures and participates in patient educationCoordinates care, ensures patient identification accuracy, and maintains documentationAdheres to quality control programs, coding guidelines, and equipment maintenance protocolsExpected to maintain and restock the work area and assist with patient transportation as neededRequirements
Minimum 1 year of recent vascular or interventional radiology experience requiredActive ARRT (R) certification requiredBCLS certification from AHA required and must remain valid during assignmentVascular / Interventional Radiography Certification and relevant state licensure preferredProficiency in performing angiography and vascular proceduresStrong understanding of anatomy, radiographic positioning, infection control, and sterile techniqueAbility to recognize and respond to emergent situationsLicense required if applicableBenefits
