Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Albany, GA 31701 Setting : Acute Care – Med / Surg Unit Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date : January 5, 2026 End Date : May 4, 2026 Duration : 17-week contract Shift : 12-hour night shifts (0645 start) Guaranteed Hours : 48 hours per week Shifts per week : 4 (based on 48 guaranteed hours and 12-hour shifts) Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Floating : Required to Ortho / Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units Scrub Color : Caribbean Blue Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680–$1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Med / Surg RN experience with at least 1 prior travel nursing assignment OR 4 years of Med / Surg RN experience without travel Active Registered Nurse license (Georgia or compact state) BLS certification (American Heart Association) NIHSS certification ASLS certification preferred Experience with Meditech EMR preferred Ability to float between units and adapt to changing assignments Strong communication and teamwork skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to diverse medical-surgical populations Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including CNA, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and OB / Neonatology staff Monitor, assess, and document patient care using Meditech EMR Float to designated units as needed and respond to changing assignments Participate in weekend and holiday rotations with permanent staff Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and colleagues Experience rewarding travel nursing jobs in Georgia and discover Albany’s welcoming community, rich history, and proximity to top destinations.
