Job Responsibilities :

• Coverage Type

Scheduled Clinic Hours Plus Call

Clinic Coverage

8-hour day shifts from Monday through Friday, providing comprehensive care to pediatric endocrinology patients.

• Manage routine and follow-up consultations, ensuring the highest quality of care.
• Call Coverage

24-hour call coverage from Monday through Sunday.

• Call duties are primarily phone-based, including handling "mommy clinic" calls and hospital / ER phone consultations.
• On-site visits are required only for new diabetic consults, typically involving a single visit during a 48-hour admission to meet with the family and arrange follow-up care.

Candidate Requirements :

• Licensure

Must be licensed in North Carolina.

• Certifications

Board Certification : Required in Pediatric Endocrinology.

• DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification is mandatory.
• Experience

Extensive experience in pediatric endocrinology, particularly in managing diabetic patients and other endocrine disorders.

• Ability to provide expert phone consultation and manage inpatient cases with the support of hospitalists.
