Human Resources Representative

Onsite Location : Norfolk VA (No Relocation Assistance)

US Citizenship & Residency Required

No 1099 No third parties no C2C. No exceptions (Sorry)

W2 Hourly Contract with limited benefits

$28.50 - $30.50 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for various HR functions ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and fostering a positive work environment. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.

Qualifications Required :

  • US Citizenship is required for this defense related role
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field and 2-3 years of experience in human resources or a related field
  • Proficient in HR software and systems including HRIS and benefits administration platforms
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Education Preferred

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
  • Responsibilities

    HR Administration :

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files
  • Process employee data including new hires terminations and benefits changes
  • Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives as needed Benefits Administration :
  • Assist with benefits administration including enrollment changes and terminations
  • Communicate benefits information to employees and provide support with benefits-related inquiries
  • Communication and Training :

  • Communicate HR policies procedures and updates to employees and management
  • Employee Relations :

  • Provide guidance and support to employees on company policies procedures and benefits
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns in a fair and timely manner
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention
  • Recruitment and Hiring :

  • Assist with the recruitment process including job postings interviews and candidate selection Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure compliance with company hiring policies and procedures
  • Compliance and Risk Management :

  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations
