Shift Information : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM CST (ALBY site)

Job Summary :

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization to patients seeking diagnostic and routine laboratory testing. The PSR I collects quality blood samples, ensures accurate specimen preparation, and provides professional, compassionate care throughout the process. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection following standard procedures.

Maintain patient confidence by demonstrating professionalism and empathy during all interactions.

Ensure all samples are accurately labeled and properly documented.

Perform daily operations and quality checks under the supervision of an area supervisor.

Maintain compliance with safety, confidentiality, and procedural standards .

Promote organizational excellence and represent the company positively to patients and the public.

Required Experience :

Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.

1+ years of experience preferred in phlebotomy, laboratory, or healthcare settings.

Customer service experience in a retail or healthcare environment preferred.

Keyboarding and data entry experience required.

Nice-to-Have Experience :

Prior experience in a patient service center or similar diagnostic laboratory.

Familiarity with the client workflows or comparable systems.

Experience working with pediatric and geriatric populations.

Required Skills :

Excellent phlebotomy and specimen handling skills.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Skills :

Knowledge of HIPAA , OSHA, and infection control standards.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts if needed.

Proficiency in data entry and use of laboratory systems.

Additional Skills :

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced workflows.

Commitment to high-quality patient interactions and procedural precision.

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
