OverviewWorks under the supervision of the Aquatics Manager. Lifeguards are responsible for general supervision, safety, maintenance and excellent customer service.
What you will do- Has a neat professional appearance, with rescue tube properly placed, while maintaining proper surveillance of patrons and guests. Greets members and guest when entering the pool area with a nod of acknowledgement when possible, using names when appropriate.
- Works assigned shifts, or finds an appropriate substitute following all proper procedures and documentation.
- Supervises and controls all activity in the pool area and on the patio so that a safe environment is maintained.
- Responsible for monitoring and appropriately recording water quality, temperature and appropriate fill levels in pool and whirlpool.
- Maintains clean environment, proper equipment storage and completes scheduled shift duties. Ensures the pool is prepared in a timely manner prior to the start of scheduled activities.
QualificationsEducation- High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)
Experience- 1 year Lifeguard experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications- Lifeguard - American Red Cross (ARC) (Required)
- First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
- Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
