Transmission and Distribution Engineer

Overview

Our client, a multinational construction, architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a Transmission and Distribution Engineer to join their team at either their Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC locations. As a Transmission and Distribution Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Transmission & Distribution practice. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Transmission and Distribution Engineer

Location : Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC (Onsite, with 10% Travel)

Salary Range : $100,00-$135,000 annual salary depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Perform, lead, and oversee engineering responsibilities related to overhead transmission line design, including modeling, routing, and structure analysis.
• Develop design criteria, perform sag-tension calculations, and recommend wire blowout and swing angle adjustments.
• Prepare specifications for construction, hardware, and materials for high voltage overhead transmission lines.
• Create construction drawings and accurate cost estimates for high voltage transmission projects.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
