Job Summary

Our customer in the insurance space is seeking a visionary and hands-on Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data estate. This role blends strategic leadership with deep technical expertise to enable secure, trustworthy, and well-modeled data for analytics and applications. What You'll Do

• Define and maintain reference architectures for batch, streaming, and real-time data across Azure Data Lakehouse, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, and Databricks
• Drive convergence on data modeling approaches (dimensional, medallion and semantic) and sponsor canonical models and domain boundaries
• Design and prototype data pipelines, semantic layers, and medallion / lakehouse patterns using SQL, PySpark, and Azure tools
• Establish data governance standards including SLAs / SLOs, quality rules, lineage, and metadata management via Microsoft Purview
• Implement secure data platform practices : RBAC / ABAC, encryption, key management, and network isolation
• Lead architecture reviews, translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, and align data strategy with business outcomes
• Mentor data engineers, analysts, and citizen developers; elevate engineering standards through enablement and playbooks
• Guide incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and architecture health tracking to ensure operational excellence
