- Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and diesel engines.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and troubleshoot mechanical problems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Execute repairs involving power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair equipment.
- Service vehicles by replacing worn parts, performing oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features such as lane departure warnings and collision avoidance systems.
- Work on Subaru vehicles with expertise in vehicle electrical systems, powertrains, transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends by participating in ongoing training related to automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and new technology integrations.
- Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong foundation in automotive repair.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrains, transmissions, diesel engines, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for accurate troubleshooting.
- Skilled in using automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues quickly and precisely.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures such as wheel balancing, brake servicing, and oil changes.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate findings clearly and provide professional recommendations.
- Experience with auto estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems including wiring diagrams and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
