Job descriptionPerform routine maintenance and inspections on shipyard equipment, including but not limited to : telehandlers, forklifts, cherry pickers, manlifts, welding machines, power tools, industrial manufacturing equipment, compressors, etc. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues to ensure optimal shipyard operations Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures and downtime Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including repairs made and parts used Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as necessary Performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs Follow all shipyard safety policies, including proper use of PPE, fire prevention, and confined space protocols. Job Summary / Technical Knowledge
- Identify hazards and maintain clean and organized working areas
- Understand and execute procedures for routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs of a variety of Saronic equipment.
- Be a technical resource for our production and procurement teams
- Knowledge of the installation, repair, and maintenance of the mechanical and electrical systems; and the related components of industrial machinery and equipment
