Job Summary

Salary : $15.00 Hourly

Work Hours : 3 : 00pm to 11 : 00pm (second shift) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays. Weekends and holidays may be required based on business needs.

Nature of Work

Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work involving the maintenance of public facilities and streetscape installations in the downtown Orlando area. Duties include trash removal, removing graffiti, and painting furnishings in the city right of ways.

Minimum Requirements

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Six (6) months of laborer experience, either in landscaping, maintenance, or construction cleanup is preferred. A valid Florida Driver's License is required. Must meet physical and environmental demands of working outdoors in all weather conditions for most of the day; exposure to insects, chemicals, and traffic fumes; danger of working in public right-of-way; and performing demanding physical labor. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.

This is a part-time position with no guarantee of a certain number of hours and no benefits. This position involves working on a temp / seasonal contract which can be renewed annually based on performance and business need.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows :

• Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
• Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
• Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
