Key Responsibilities for the Benefits Specialist :
Plan and assess health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs using data analytics.
Partner with brokers to select carriers and negotiate service agreements.
Assist with internal and external audits and provide required reports.
Maintain historical records and ensure accurate documentation of benefit changes.
Support HRIS / payroll planning and execute benefit audits.
Develop wellness programs and communication plans to improve employee health.
Conduct benefits orientations and manage open enrollment meetings.
Respond to employee inquiries and process benefit claims (health, dental, FMLA, etc.).
Verify premium statements, reconcile deductions, and resolve billing issues.
Complete benefits reporting requirements and coordinate with finance and providers.
Qualifications for the Benefits Specialist :
Bachelor's Degree or AA Degree
3+ years of relevant benefits experience
Problem solving mindset
Paycom experience is a plus
