Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Nashville, TN 37203 (Tennessee nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Unit : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Shift : 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts / week) Hours per Week : 36 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 On-Site Position Weekly Estimated Pay : $1610 - $1730 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state) BLS Certification (required before first shift) ACLS Certification (required before first shift) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred) Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for medical-surgical patients Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to clinical safety protocols Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and support rehabilitation programs Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Initiate discharge planning and provide patient and family education from admission Promote a safe, positive work environment by following hospital guidelines and safety policies Participate in team-building activities and contribute to a supportive unit culture Assume charge nurse duties as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing nursing education Ready to take your Med / Surg nursing career to the next level in Nashville?
