Physical Requirements :

This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and / or pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds; standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.

Shift :

Evening / nights, some weekend and holiday call as needed

Job Summary :

UK HealthCare is seeking a Support Services Supervisor to manage support services roles within the Operating Room, including Anesthesia Technicians, Operating Room Assistants, and support staff positions. This person will facilitate OR room readiness and efficiency, and ensure smooth patient flow with appropriate coordination of supplies and equipment. He / she will model DiRECT values, service excellence, process improvement, and resource-wise behaviors related to equipment usage and time management. This position will report to the Support Services Service Line Manager OR.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities :

Prior experience functioning in an OR support role; Basic Life Support certification; basic Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Education / Experience :

Associate’s degree or equivalency
