Behavior Technician (ABA) – Paid Training Provided | Colonial Heights, VA

Clinic-Based | Full-Time or Part-Time | $17.00–$21.00 / hr (Non-Certified) | $21.50–$26.00 / hr (RBT Certified)

At Autism Center of Excellence (AutismCOE) , we’ll support your growth every step of the way — whether you’re just starting your ABA career or already certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

No ABA experience required — you’ll receive paid training while completing the 40-hour RBT course as part of your onboarding.

Position Details

  • Location : Colonial Heights, VA
  • Setting : Clinic-based ABA therapy
  • Schedule : Monday–Friday; occasional Saturday availability based on clinic needs
  • Status : Full-time or part-time
  • Reports To : Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Compensation :
  • Non-Certified BT : $17.00–$21.00 / hr (based on experience)
  • RBT Certified : $21.50–$26.00 / hr (based on experience & certification)

What You’ll Do

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in a supportive clinic environment
  • Implement individualized treatment and behavior plans under BCBA supervision
  • Collect and record session data using digital tools
  • Support skill development in communication, social interaction, and independence
  • Maintain a positive, structured learning environment
  • Collaborate professionally with BCBAs, teammates, and caregivers

  • Qualifications

    Required :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to complete training and background checks
  • Preferred (not required) :

  • Experience working with children (e.g., childcare, tutoring, camps, or similar)
  • Interest in psychology, education, or behavior analysis

    Previous experience as a Behavior Technician, ABA Therapist, RBT, or in a similar role supporting children with autism or developmental needs RBT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain and maintain certification) Strong skills in data collection, documentation, and communication Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Dedication to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care
