Position Overview

CTE is seeking a motivated Business Development Intern to support our growth initiatives in the federal and commercial sectors. The intern will work directly with senior leadership and the business development team to research opportunities, assist in proposal preparation, manage partner outreach, and support capture planning activities.

This role is ideal for an MBA student or recent graduate interested in federal contracting, strategic growth, and corporate development.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct market research and analyze potential government and commercial opportunities.

Assist with proposal development, RFP analysis, and supporting documentation.

Maintain opportunity pipelines using tools like SAM.gov, GovWin, and internal trackers.

Support creation of marketing materials, capability statements, and past performance summaries.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings with potential partners, primes, and clients.

Contribute to competitor analysis, pricing strategy inputs, and capture management efforts.

Prepare presentations and reports summarizing BD metrics and strategic recommendations.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred but not required).

Strong interest in business strategy, technology or government contracting.

Excellent communication, writing, and research skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
