Territory: San Francisco, SF Peninsula, North Bay, East Bay, South Bay

From potted floral and lush indoor foliage to structural statement plants, cactus, succulents, seasonal favorites, culinary herbs, and rare trend-forward drops - we grow, cultivate, curate, and source high-quality plant programs designed to help independent garden centers and retailers stand out. Our mix spans multiple sizes and formats, combining proven staples with hard-to-find assortments, all supported by dependable availability and California-wide Express delivery.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven sales professional who sees opportunity in a fast-moving product line and wants to build something meaningful in the Bay Area market. This is a chance to represent a respected California brand with strong product momentum, flexible programs, and real upside - while operating your own independent sales business.
This opportunity is designed for an established independent sales representative who operates their own sales business and is seeking to add a complementary, non-conflicting product line to their existing portfolio.
This is not an employee position. The representative maintains full control over their schedule, sales methods, customer approach, and business operations.
Independent Contractor Status
This role is offered strictly as an independent contractor relationship. The Sales Representative:
• Operates an independently established sales business
• Controls the manner and means of performing services
• Sets their own schedule and sales approach
• May represent multiple non-competing product lines
• Is not subject to Rocket Farms’ direction or control regarding daily activities
• Is responsible for their own business expenses, tools, transportation, and insurance
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain wholesale customer relationships within the territory
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Present product offerings and secure orders
• Manage customer accounts and grow repeat business
• Communicate product availability and coordinate orders with Rocket Farms as needed
• Provide general market feedback and insights
Requirements:
Ideal Candidate
• Established independent wholesale sales professional with existing customer relationships
• Active book of business within garden centers or nursery accounts
• Experience representing multiple complementary product lines
• Self-directed and entrepreneurial
• Strong relationship-building and sales skills
Compensation
• Commission-only compensation
• No cap on earnings
• Commission structure, calculation method, and payment terms will be outlined in a written Independent Sales Representative Agreement in accordance with California Labor Code 2751
• Representative is responsible for all business-related expenses
Pay Scale Disclosure (California)
Based on territory performance and sales volume, expected annual earnings typically range from $60,000 – $150,000+, with no earnings cap.
