About the Role

As a Senior Property Facultative Underwriter for the Caribbean region, you will evaluate and price facultative reinsurance submissions while developing strong relationships with cedants and brokers. You\'ll leverage your technical expertise to make sound underwriting decisions that balance risk and opportunity in this specialized market.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite complex property and casualty facultative risks across Caribbean territories
• Analyze submission data to evaluate exposures, hazards, and pricing adequacy
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Negotiate terms and conditions for facultative placements that meet profitability targets
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and other technical teams to enhance underwriting approach
• Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to strategic business planning
• Mentor junior underwriters and share technical knowledge across the team
• Stay current with market trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments in the Caribbean region
• Contribute to process improvements and underwriting tools development

The estimated base salary range for this position is $156,000 to $234,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity / specialization / scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
