About the Work :
Join a dynamic steel-fabrication firm that handles structural, industrial, oil & gas, bridge, and special construction projects. You’ll work hands-on from concept to finished build welding, fitting, fabricating, and helping bring complex steel projects to life.
What You’ll Do :
Perform MIG welding (and sometimes flux-core) on structural steel, plates, beams, stairs, platforms, and misc steel components
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
Fit, lay out, tack, and weld parts to meet specifications
Use grinders, cutting torches, saws, and basic fabrication tools
Inspect welds, ensure quality control, and rework as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Occasionally assist with rigging, material handling, and shop support tasks
Work with the engineering / design teams to resolve fabrication or welding challenges
What We’re Looking For :
Proven experience as a MIG or structural welder / fabricator
Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols
Strong skills in layout, tacking, and finish welding
Knowledge of steel types, welding techniques, and weld quality standards
Use of hand and power tools common in metal fabrication
Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and willingness to learn
High school diploma or equivalent
AWS certification is a plus (but not required)
Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
