Service Tech Position
Wallace Electric is in search of a Full-Time Service Technician Electrician to join our Service team.
The Service / Small Project Commercial Electrician will be responsible for servicing and installing electrical systems and equipment.
A Person in this position will service, repair, and maintain systems of all types in a customer's facility during normal working hours and be rotated on-call 24x7. They will also perform small project electrical installations.
(Compensation is determined by pending qualifications.)
Key Responsibilities
Must be an effective and professional communicator, both written and verbally, filling out daily paperwork correctly.Respond to a customer's electrical needs as directed in a professional mannerUnderstand and implement all OSHA requirements and the company's electric safety policiesAccurately enter all necessary data into service management software via mobile tablet or phone to update work orders for tracking, documentation and invoicingProvide any other required reports to management, in a clear, legible and professional manner (Time Sheets, Employee Evaluations, Vehicle Inspections, Etc.)Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and determine the best course of action for repairsInstall all systems in accordance with the NEC and any applicable standards and specificationsProperly communicate all issues to the customer and to managementRequisition the necessary materials, tools, equipment, and manpower necessary to complete the work orderEffectively manage resources to best control budgetsManage and care for a service vehicle, tools, material inventory, and equipment that are issued to youManage, train, and develop any manpower assigned to youCharacter Expectations

Strong commercial and industrial electrical background (5 years or more preferred)Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing test equipmentStrong knowledge of the National Electric CodeAbility to safely operate and maintain a specialized electrical service vehicle (License required with clean MVR)Able to maintain professional appearance and conduct at all timesAble to demonstrate necessary computer and keyboard skillsAbility to manage customer and company specific information and documentation in an organized mannerAble to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracyMust be an effective and professional communicator, both written and verbally, filling out daily paperwork correctlyAble to be on twenty-four-hour call, on a rotating basis, as neededPhysically able to perform the duties of the positionOSHA 10 or 30 certified. Safety is a top priorityCertified to operate a Scissor lift, Boom lift, or Bucket truck but not mandatory. (Training can be provided.)Able to bend and install various types of Conduits.Schedule
