Special Education Teacher in Aurora, IL

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time, onsite Special Education Teacher position is available in Aurora, IL. This role involves working with a diverse K-22 student caseload across various settings including autism classrooms, as well as elementary, middle, and high school levels. Additionally, the role includes supporting 18-22 transition programs designed to prepare students for life beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities include delivering tailored instruction and support to students with special needs, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and tracking student progress to ensure educational goals are met. The position requires adapting teaching methods to meet varied learning needs and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Teaching License in Special Education
• Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Experience working with K-22 students in special education settings preferred
• Ability to manage multiple caseloads and placements effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
