Manager, Diagnostic Imaging
The Manager, Diagnostic Imaging provides operations leadership of diagnostic imaging for inpatient, emergency room, outpatient, and ambulatory imaging patients. Manages daily operations of the assigned area that includes administrative, fiscal, and clinical / technical activities to ensure high quality health care services. Develops departmental initiatives that focus on employee engagement, process improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety. Serves as a resource and facilitates collaboration between team members and other healthcare disciplines throughout ThedaCare and within the healthcare community.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Effectively manages team members in a manner consistent with ThedaCare policies and values. Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the department.
- Is accountable for daily activities and work processes that result in quality outcomes.
- Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
- Manages team members to include responsibility for hiring, performance management including competency assessment, corrective action, and, if warranted, discharge. Evaluates and determines work assignments, evaluates job performance, and recognizes performance.
- Has in depth knowledge of ThedaCare's financial performance relative to areas of responsibility, i.e., volumes, revenue, expenses, referrals, productivity, and revenue integrity.
- Maintains compliance with policies and procedures and with applicable local, state, federal, and accreditation regulations including being ready for The Joint Commission and CMS.
- Practices the principles of quality improvement by incorporating continuous quality improvement principles into daily activities and focusing on improvements and premiere customer services.
- Conducts meetings with team members and performs daily rounding to review and explain changes in procedures, discuss problems, standardize procedures and protocols, and exchange information.
- Maintains and improves patient access service standards developed for each modality and ensures schedules are maximized.
- Secures and maintains physical facilities, equipment, and supplies that are required to perform effective patient care and create an optimum physical environment.
- Participates in the development of a five-year technology plan that allows ThedaCare to remain competitive in diagnostic imaging.

Bachelor's degree in radiology, science, business, education, or related fieldFive years of progressive responsibility in healthcareThree years of leadership experience to include leading teams and / or projectsAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) / ARRT(if a radiographer) / other registries if applicableScheduled Weekly Hours : 40
