About the Opportunity :

A respected and growing law firm is actively seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Defense Attorney with a minimum of three years of relevant experience to join its dynamic litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who is ready to take on a variety of challenging and complex cases. The ideal candidate will have a solid background and experience handling matters across a range of practice areas including General Liability, Auto, Commercial Liability, Employment Litigation, Construction Injury and Defect claims, Environmental and Toxic Torts, Professional Liability, and Product Liability or related practices. Candidates should be comfortable managing a full caseload independently, from initial investigation through resolution. Strong writing, analytical, and courtroom skills are essential. Trial experience is not required but would be considered a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage all phases of litigation from case inception through resolution, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and trial preparation.

Represent clients in a broad range of insurance defense matters, including general liability, auto accidents, commercial liability claims, employment litigation, and construction-related injuries and defects.

Handle complex liability cases involving professional negligence, product defects, and other high-exposure claims.

Work collaboratively with a team of seasoned litigators, paralegals, and support staff to ensure high-quality legal representation.

Foster strong client relationships by providing proactive, strategic legal counsel and consistent communication throughout the litigation process.

Requirements :

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Active license to practice law in California (in good standing)

Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience

Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously

Trial or arbitration experience a plus
