Graphics Software Developer

This role requires a skilled developer who will interact with graphics drivers, understand their interfaces and functionality, and work with the Windows operating system to leverage hardware capabilities and manage desktop configurations. The primary focus is on backend development, including Windows APIs, inter-process communication, and working with graphics interfaces and drivers. This position involves developing graphics applications on Windows using C / C++, and optimizing GPU outputs for medical imaging products.

Responsibilities :

Develop and optimize graphics applications on Windows using C / C++.

Interact with graphics drivers from Nvidia, AMD, and Intel to manage hardware acceleration and desktop configurations.

Work with APIs such as Vulkan, DirectX, and OpenGL to connect desktop applications with GPU capabilities.

Optimize graphics rendering and shader performance.

Collaborate with a small team to enhance display controllers for medical imaging products.

Participate in training with a retiring team member to take over product ownership.

Essential Skills :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Computer Graphics.

5+ years of experience in Windows desktop development and backend integration with graphics APIs.

Proficiency in programming with C or C++.

Experience with graphics rendering techniques and shader optimization.

Familiarity with Vulkan, DirectX 11 or 12, and OpenGL.

Experience in graphics driver interaction for hardware acceleration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

Experience with game engine development.

Knowledge of Nvidia CUDA and AMD graphics libraries.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.

Experience with image processing and display controller technologies.

Work Environment :

This is a small, collaborative team of 8-10 members located in Portland. Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $62.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
