Job Overview

Under the direction of the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Regional Operations position is responsible for providing administrative and operational direction for the Health Services delivery system. The AVP of Regional Operations will lead and manage a comprehensive strategy to achieve primary care services and programs and achieve high quality, affordable, and integrated Health Services. The AVP of Regional Operations is accountable on establishing and executing current and long-range objectives, development, and implementation of the Health Services’ strategic objectives and operating plans to achieve high quality care throughout AltaMed. The AVP of Regional Operations position will be responsible for all operational plans, including growth and the related strategies, organizing, training, and staffing at any one or more of the AltaMed clinic facilities. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all budget responsibilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that Health Services complies with all federal, state, funding, and city regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements. This position will work in partnership with Health Services leadership to support our clinics and departments to effectively achieve all Health Services division goals and objectives. The AVP of Regional Operations will supervise clinic operations leaders and work with physician leadership and corporate support services to deliver services that are operating effectively and meeting the strategic goals and mission of the corporation. In collaboration with the Chief of Pediatrics for the AltaMed-CHLA Pediatrics partnership, the AVP of Regional Operations is accountable on establishing and executing current and long-range objectives, development, and implementation of the Health Services’ strategic objectives and operating plans to achieve high quality pediatric care throughout AltaMed. The AVP of Regional Operations will be responsible for all matters related to the strategic growth, development and clinical performance for the AltaMed-CHLA Pediatric Partnership.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Nursing, Health Administration or other health related fields required; Master’s Degree in Business, Public Health or Health Administration strongly preferred.
• 8+ years’ experience required in ambulatory care management, overseeing multiple office locations.
• Experience in financial management, program development, personnel management, project management and quality management strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated results in executing complex initiatives and projects.
• Experience in Children’s Hospital or Pediatric Medical Group preferred.

Salary Range

• $129,396.80 - $174,720.00 annually
