Job Overview
We’re seeking a hands-on Director Finance / Controller to build out scalable financial operations, ensure compliance, and partner with leadership and key business stakeholders to support our next phase of growth. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to both build repeatable processes and work on high impact projects.
Requirements : Key Responsibilities
Accounting, Controls, & Tax
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Oversee the core financial processes including treasury, AP, AR, payroll and general ledger
- Evaluate, improve, establish, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial requirements, including leading technical accounting evaluation and documentation
- Manage external audit and tax advisors processes and relationships
Financial Strategy & Operations
Collaborate with the VP of Finance on annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysisOwn the reporting and evaluation of key financial KPIsSupport scenario modeling and business case development for strategic decisionsTrack and analyze financial performance across various departments, products, and business lines to provide data that helps understand and drive business performanceTeam Leadership
Build and manage a lean, high-performing finance and accounting teamEstablish scalable systems and workflows to support company growthPartner cross-functionally with all lines of businessQualifications
7+ years of finance and accounting experience, including managerial experienceCPA required, with previous big 4 or large CPA firm experienceExceptional analytical, communication, and organization skillsStrong knowledge of GAAPProven ability to translate dataComfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levelsExperience in high growth or early stage technology companyUnderstanding of the intricacies of the Healthcare industryAdvanced degree in finance or accountingExperience with Quickbooks and evaluating complimentary finance / accounting systems such as ramp, expensify, etc.Working at Brook
