Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Abilene, TX 79601 (Texas healthcare jobs) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (travel nurse contract) Start Date : November 10, 2025 (flexible orientation through December 1) Shift : Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (06 : 30 - 15 : 00), Monday to Friday Hours per Week : 40 Estimated Weekly Salary : $2070-$2220 Call and Late Days : As needed Patient Population : Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (RN jobs Texas) Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (OR nurse experience required) Required experience with craniotomy and burr hole procedures Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (CNOR certification preferred) Experience with Allscripts or Altera electronic charting systems preferred Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Preferred : Previous charge nurse, Trauma Level I / II, and travel nursing experience Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver perioperative nursing care for surgical procedures including neuro / spine, ortho / trauma, and general / robotics / trauma cases Demonstrate proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole surgeries Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more) Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical record systems Participate in call rotation and cover late days as needed Ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment for patients of all ages Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Abilene, Texas, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
