About the Opportunity

Our client, a highly respected food and beverage manufacturer , is seeking a forward-thinking People Operations Manager to lead all aspects of human resources and organizational development. This is a strategic leadership role and the highest level within the HR function , responsible for shaping company culture, driving engagement, and aligning people strategy with overall business goals.

The ideal candidate will be a strong business partner to senior leadership—someone who can balance operational excellence with strategic insight. This individual will play a critical role in developing programs that enhance retention, performance, and the employee experience across all departments and levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the People Operations and HR function across all business units, serving as a trusted advisor to the executive team.
  • Design and implement HR strategies that support organizational growth, employee engagement, and culture alignment.
  • Oversee all core HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration .
  • Develop and execute programs focused on leadership development, succession planning, and employee retention .
  • Partner with department heads to ensure staffing levels, workforce planning, and employee development initiatives align with business needs.
  • Champion a people-first culture , promoting communication, collaboration, and recognition throughout the organization.
  • Evaluate and improve HR systems, policies, and processes to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Lead employee relations with fairness, transparency, and a focus on problem solving and trust building.
  • Analyze workforce data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Drive initiatives that reinforce diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR / SPHR / SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience , with at least 3 years in a strategic or senior management role.
  • Strong background in employee relations, performance management, and organizational design .
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated success in building a positive, high-performance culture.
