About The Position

Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist (School-Based)

Facility : Elkhart Elementary School – Aurora Public Schools

Location : Aurora, CO 80011

Contract Duration : 40 Weeks (School Year 2025–2026)

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to identify students’ speech and language needs.

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists.

Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students in individual and group settings.

Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress in compliance with district and state guidelines.

Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and ongoing professional development.

Job Requirements

Requirements :

Licensure : Active Colorado State SLP license (required).

Certification : Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certificate (can start with pending CDE but must be obtained promptly).

Credentials : Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.

Experience : Previous school-based experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families in a school environment.
