Job descriptionResponsibilities Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and corporations, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Analyze financial documents and data to determine tax liabilities and deductions. Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online, to maintain accurate records and streamline the tax preparation process. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, answer questions, and provide updates on their tax status. Review client accounts for accuracy and completeness before submitting tax returns. Stay up-to-date on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client benefits. Assist clients in understanding their financial situations by explaining relevant financial concepts. Requirements Proven experience in tax preparation for compensation (Experience with ProConnect, Lacerte or equivalent is necessary). Proficiency in accounting software (experience with QuickBooks Online is necessary). Strong mathematical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data. Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism and patience when interacting with clients. Familiarity with current tax laws and regulations is essential. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts effectively. We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and corporate accounting, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting with clients to gather necessary information and provide guidance throughout the tax preparation process.
This role could lead to permanent employment for the right person.
Certifications such as CPA or EA are a plus. Active PTIN is a plus.
If you are familiar with Dave Ramsey, we are one of his Endorsed Local Providers in some geographic areas.
