Job Title : Operations Manager

We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 5 locations. The Operations Manager oversees all departments at the Kansas City Branch, ensuring products and materials are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. This role is responsible for developing and implementing branch operational plans, directing department managers, managing P&L, hiring and developing staff, and maintaining compliance with food safety and company policies. The Operations Manager collaborates with internal teams and external customers, drives efficiency and profitability, and supports a high-performing, safe, and customer-focused branch environment.
Pay : $100,000-$110,000

- Bachelor’s degree in Administration (MBA preferred) plus 10 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership and people management skills; ability to relate to all levels of the organization.
- Excellent time management, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing distribution environment.
- Advanced knowledge of procurement systems and familiarity with company products.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- General math and computer skills; experience with industry-specific applications (Visual Produce) desired.

What you’ll do :
Develop and implement branch operations plans, policies, and procedures.Oversee all branch departments to ensure goals, quality standards, and safety procedures are met.Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish operational objectives.Manage full branch P&L and optimize employee levels within budget constraints.Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff; take corrective action when necessary.Ensure compliance with all food safety practices at branch locations.Communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers and customers.Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.What you’ll gain as a Loffredo Team Member :
