We are looking for an experienced Sr Manager - Software Engineer to lead a high-performing, technically skilled team that specializes in solving complex internal IT data challenges. This team operates at the intersection of observability, security, and infrastructure visibility—managing tools like Splunk, Cribl, and other data platforms to support enterprise-wide needs. This is not a traditional ETL role; our focus is on APIs, real-time data onboarding, and intelligent data presentation.
The ideal candidate is a technical leader and strategic thinker, able to drive business outcomes while enabling team growth and technical excellence.
Team Focus
Solve data-related problems to improve internal IT operations
Manage and support platforms like Splunk, Cribl, and other observability tools
Enable cloud infrastructure visibility for multiple orgs
Focus on APIs, data ingestion, and presentation—not just pipelines or batch jobs
Operate and maintain a suite of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
Ideal Candidate Profile
Technical Expertise (Nice to Have) :
Experience with observability / monitoring tools : Splunk, DataDog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform)
Knowledge of cloud platforms : AWS, Azure, or GCP
Scripting or coding experience (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, Node.js) is a plus
Comfortable contributing technically, especially with dashboards, data flows, or tooling (not required)
Leadership & Soft Skills :
Strong communication and prioritization skills; adept at “managing up”
Comfortable mentoring, guiding, and developing senior-level engineers
Able to zoom out to the strategic level while driving tactical execution
Passionate about problem-solving, process optimization, and stakeholder alignment
Proven ability to build relationships across departments (engineering, product, security, ops)

Lead and grow a senior-level engineering team focused on data onboarding and platform support
Drive sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and agile ceremonies
Own and evolve project roadmaps in partnership with stakeholders and product managers
Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams (Security, Infrastructure, Product)
Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of technical solutions that support cloud visibility and monitoring
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and innovation
Advocate for scalable, maintainable architecture and tooling choices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
10+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role
Solid understanding of observability stacks (Splunk, Cribl, DataDog, New Relic, etc.)
Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and infrastructure as code
Proven experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Experience in service ownership models like SaaS, PaaS, IaaS
Agile team structure with fast-paced delivery cycles
Remote-first, with team members across time zones
Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Ability to adapt to evolving requirements, priorities, and toolsets
Bonus Points
Experience with data routing platforms like Cribl
Previous work in security operations or infrastructure observability
Experience integrating monitoring solutions into CI / CD workflows
Strong interest in building internal tooling and platforms for other engineering teams
