About the Role : United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring an RN, NICU to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The NICU consists of 14 beds for newborns in need of critical care. Work alongside many DAISY Award winners in our close knit, team driven environment. Help provide families the support they need while watching the patients progress and be a part of their success story! You will also have the opportunity to cross train with L&D, Maternity, and the Newborn Nursery.

Compensation Range

$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience

You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Continuously assess condition of critical newborns

Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed

Assisting with feeding, providing family support, and collaborating with healthcare team

Administering medications as prescribed by physicians

Qualifications

A valid RN license

Critical care / NICU experience preferred

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.

Rooms are air conditioned and heated.

Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.

Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.

PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies

Compensation : $40.70-$61.05 per hour, depending on experience.

Sign-On Bonus : This unit is eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $15,000.
