IT Delivery Manager (Guidewire Applications)

Northwest Partners is engaged in a strategic initiative with a well-established insurance organization and seeks an experienced IT Delivery Manager (Guidewire Applications) to oversee strategic initiatives and lead high-impact application service teams. This role is responsible for managing the delivery of enterprise IT solutions- with a primary focus on Guidewire PolicyCenter and Portal -supervising technical teams, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Hybrid work : 3 days onsite in Wooster, OH (no relocators). Compensation target $109,000 $120,000 base plus bonus (~15%) and profit sharing.

What YOU will do

Oversee the delivery of enterprise IT solutions aligned with business strategies, with emphasis on Guidewire PolicyCenter / Portal

Manage the Guidewire application portfolio and lead critical modernization initiatives (roadmaps, upgrades, integrations)

Allocate resources across projects, maintenance, and support activities (blend of FTE + vendors / SIs , on / offshore)

Supervise and develop technical staff (developers, QA, BAs), including hiring, coaching, and performance management

Define project scopes, timelines, and objectives in collaboration with business partners ( Underwriting, Claims, Finance )

Drive the execution of portfolio and strategic initiatives; track KPIs for delivery predictability, quality, and uptime

Enhance the software delivery lifecycle by implementing improved processes and procedures ( SDLC governance, CAB participation )

Contribute to budget planning and strategic vision execution for the applications portfolio

Maintain project schedules; manage risks, budgets, and stakeholder expectations across multiple concurrent initiatives

Oversee third-party performance and adherence to policies; ensure effective vendor / partner management

What YOU will bring us

Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or a related discipline

Minimum of 7+ years in IT with supervisory / people-leadership responsibilities

Proven leadership in application delivery (large, multi-team programs); direct Guidewire delivery experience strongly preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills; credible with business and engineering stakeholders

Ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendors; experience with APIs / middleware / data migration a plus

Experience with project / program management methodologies and enterprise systems; results-driven and metrics-oriented
