About the Role :

Join the Kihei Caffe team as a Baker and bring your passion for baking to our vibrant caf in sunny Kihei, HI! This role offers an exciting opportunity to create delicious baked goods that delight our customers and keep them coming back for more.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts from scratch.
• Ensure all baked goods meet quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage inventory and ingredient supply.
• Experiment with new recipes and seasonal offerings to enhance the menu.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior baking staff.
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and exceptional customer service.

Requirements :

• Proven experience as a baker in a caf or restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry arts.
• Ability to work early mornings and weekends as needed.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Food Handler's Permit or equivalent certification preferred.
• Passion for baking and creating memorable culinary experiences.
