Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to assist with administrative support for the Accounts Payable department at a growing Real Estate firm in Montclair, New Jersey. This role involves high volume data entry, processing and sending mail for the AP department, and utilizing Excel and Accounting Systems for various tasks. This position is open on a contract basis and will require onsite availability in Montclair, NJ.
Responsibilities :
- Undertake high volume data entry tasks to update and maintain our database
- Manage the incoming and outgoing mail for the Accounts Payable department
- Utilize your proficiency in Excel to create and manage basic spreadsheets and formulas
- Leverage QuickBooks to assist in accounting tasks and operations
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate an excellent work ethic
- Ensure accuracy and reliability in all tasks and duties performed
- Collaborate with the team to improve and streamline the Accounts Payable process
- Resolve any arising inquiries or issues related to accounts payable.
- Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) or similar support role within an accounting department.
- Proficiency in data entry tasks
- Experience with Microsoft Excel is essential
- Familiarity with utilities in the real estate industry
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
