Training and Certification Program Available on O‘ahu, Maui, and the Big Island.

Hawai‘i Behavioral Health is now accepting applicants for our RBT Training and Certification Program. This opportunity is perfect for individuals who are passionate about working with children and families and are interested in beginning a career in behavioral health.

Through our comprehensive training program, you’ll receive the education, hands-on experience, and supervision needed to become a Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Upon successful completion of training and certification, you’ll be eligible to work as an RBT with Hawai‘i Behavioral Health.

Once certified as an RBT, you’ll work one-on-one with children and individuals with developmental challenges, helping them learn new skills, express themselves, and reach their goals. You’ll play a key role in creating positive changes that improve their everyday lives.

Location & Job Type :

  • Employees must work a minimum of 15 billable hours per week
  • Oahu : Full-Time or Part-Time (Weekdays 2 : 30pm-6 : 30pm and Saturdays 8am-4pm)
  • Big Island : Part-Time (Weekdays between 1 : 45pm to 6pm and Saturdays 4pm-6pm)
  • Maui : Part-Time (Weekdays 2 / 2 : 30pm-5 : 30pm) or Full-Time (Weekdays 8am-5 : 30pm)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Implementation of treatment plans developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) addressing communication, behavior, feeding, and social skill needs
  • Monitor the progress of clients and work closely with the BCBA to update treatment plans as necessary
  • The ABA technician / RBT position is a part-time, hourly position, working in a school setting, clinic setting, and / or home setting
  • School hours, after-school hours, and weekends are available
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must have availability of minimum 15 hours per week within clinic hour needs
  • Background Clearance
  • High School Diploma minimum for Private Insurance services
  • 48 college credits or passing of ParaPro Assessment for Department of Education services
  • Ability to drive to a variety of locations on the island if needed
  • DOCUMENTS NEEDED :

  • 1-Step TB Clearance
  • Official high school or college transcript
  • Signed resume with 3 references
  • NPI number
  • RBT Certificate
