Location :  Remote with a high preference for candidates who are local to the DC, MD, VA area

Salary Range : $130,000 - $140,000

We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented  Netapp / Server Ops Systems  Engineer   to join our team. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of storage and server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.

To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance is required. This is a funded position and is contingent upon verification of a security clearance prior to starting with Cloudshape.

Primary Duties Include but Are Not Limited To :

Design, deploy, and manage NetApp storage systems and server infrastructure.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize storage and server performance and reliability.

Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.

Collaborate with network, server, and application teams to integrate storage and compute resources.

Automate tasks and workflows using scripts or configuration management tools.

Maintain system documentation, generate reports, and support audits or compliance initiatives.

Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers on best practices and technical solutions.

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• 5 - 8 years of experience
• An ability to work independently, multi-task, and communicate effectively will be required for this role.
• US Citizen with an active Secret security clearance
• Strong knowledge of storage protocols (SAN, NAS, NFS, CIFS) and server administration (Linux and Windows).
• Experience with virtualization, cloud platforms, and backup / recovery solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
