Utah Marriage Commission Manager

Utah State University hosts the Utah Marriage Commission. The Marriage Commission Manager will oversee programmatic, administrative, and operational activities of funded programs, donor sponsored events, revenue generating efforts, and related projects. The Marriage Commission Manager will provide leadership for new initiatives, expand existing programs, and develop public-private partnerships. The Marriage Commission Manager will also facilitate promotional and fundraising activities and coordinate the related efforts of Commission leadership, committees, staff, board members, donors, volunteers, and other supporters. The Marriage Commission Manager will plan and coordinate with USU faculty / staff and partnering organizations to optimize the reach and impact of the Utah Marriage Commission. This may include supervising staff, students, and volunteers. The position is intended to be time (.75 FTE); although candidates interested in part-time (.5 FTE) or full-time (1 FTE) may be considered. Continued employment is contingent upon performance and on-going funding from the Utah Marriage Commission. Work space will be available as needed in Logan Utah, but remote work is an option consistent with USU policy 3008. This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah.

Responsibilities

Plans, supervises, and manages the progress of Utah Marriage Commission initiatives.

Writes, edits, and coordinates development of educational resources.

Writes and / or assists with writing grants and proposals as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the project.

Coordinates fundraising and sponsorship efforts. Develops private-public partnerships.

Coordinates with Utah State University Extension faculty and staff assigned to the Utah Marriage Commission, the USU Healthy Relationship Utah initiative, and the Utah Marriage Commission leadership and committees.

Facilitates Utah Marriage Commission meetings and committee meetings.

Provides updates and information to project stakeholders.

Collects and analyzes data; prepares scheduled and special reports; maintains program records and statistical information to meet state and federal requirements.

Presents on topics related to the Utah Marriage Commission in person and virtually.

Analyzes problems and applies corrective action as needed.

Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Contributes to business and operational decisions that affect the department.

May serve as administrative proxy for the Utah Marriage Commission and supporting faculty.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of experience; or a master's degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education plus experience
• A strong desire to promote healthy relationships
• Experience working with private-public partnerships
• Experience with project management

$63,000.00 at 1.00 FTE, $47,250 at .75 FTE, and $31.500 at .5 FTE, plus excellent benefits
