Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

\n

• Perform all aspects of patient exam activities in nuclear medicine at a technical level
\n• Produce high quality images consistent with established policies and procedures
\n• Work under general supervision performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging
\n• Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns
\n• Operate and maintain all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment
\n• Perform diagnostic studies including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes
\n• Properly identify, prepare and/or administer medications/substances within scope of practice
\n• Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety protocols
\n• Maintain all required documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats
\n• Maintain adequate supply of consumables for quality testing
\n• Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks
\n• Weekend schedule: Saturday and Sunday (every 5th or 6th weekend)
\n• No on-call responsibilities
\n• Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
\n• 2 years Nuclear Medicine Technician experience required
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT
\n• May assist other areas of radiology as assigned
