Responsibilities :
Located in downtown Fresno, Community Regional is the flagship hospital of the region and home to the only Level I Trauma Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. As an RN ECMO Specialist in our 24-bed ICU, you'll provide advanced, high-acuity care for the Central Valley's most critically ill patients — including those requiring Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO).
Manage ECMO circuits and related critical-care technologies, ensuring continuous, safe operation and monitoring of all system parameters.Collaborate closely with physicians, Respiratory Care Practitioners, Perfusionists, and multidisciplinary ICU teams to develop and execute individualized care plans.Care for post-open-heart and complex critical-care patients, managing extracorporeal and hemodynamic support devices.Contribute to ongoing quality improvement, staff education, and protocol development to advance ECMO practice standards and patient outcomes.This is an opportunity to share and expand your expertise in advanced critical-care medicine within the Central Valley's largest healthcare system!
Qualifications :
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a healthcare-related field OR maintains national certification related to nursing specialty requiredHealthcare-related degrees may be subject to approval by the ACNO / CNO group prior to approvalCompletion of ECMO Management training course with documented necessary skills as an ECMO Specialist that is validated by the Medical Director within 180 days of hire or transfer into position requiredCompletion of training on CRRT, balloon pumps, and Impella within 180 days of hire or transfer into position required6 months of open heart experience requiredConsistent demonstration of proficient clinical nursing practice proficiency requiredExperience in critical care, with at least one year of ECMO experience requiredLicenses and Certifications
RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California requiredBLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) requiredNATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role (if qualifying with this option) requiredDisclaimers :
