Currently Hiring Electrical Apprentices (ABC Of Iowa Program)

• Join a premier electrical contractor seeking motivated electrical apprentices to assist journeymen in various multi-family projects across the Des Moines Metro.
• Responsibilities
• Assist journeyman electricians with daily tasks on residential projects.
• Run conduit and pull cables for various electrical installations.
• Hang electrical boxes and fixtures.
• Use hand and power tools correctly.
• Retain taught skills and apply them effectively.
• Read and interpret tape measurements accurately.
• Essential Skills
• Basic understanding of electrical, conduit, and wiring tasks.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and division.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in construction, blueprint reading, or electrical is beneficial. (Previous ABC Apprentice Hours Automatically Qualify for the role)
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and climb ladders.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m., with optional overtime throughout the week. The dress code includes work jeans, professional t-shirts, and work boots. The company provides necessary PPE such as high visibility vests, hard hats, glasses, and gloves. Candidates must have basic hand tools including a hammer, tape measure, screwdriver, and wire strippers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00 / hr.
