RNFA Job Details – Kentucky Healthcare Jobs

Location : Edgewood, KY 41017 (Northern Kentucky, near Cincinnati)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $3370 - $3460

Contract Length : 13 weeks (option to extend up to 6 months)

Start Date : January 12, 2026

End Date : April 13, 2026

Shift : Day shift, 5x8-hour (6 : 00 am – 2 : 30 pm, Monday – Friday)

Hours per Week : 40

Call Requirement : 1-2 overnight calls per week

Weekend Requirement : One full weekend (Friday-Monday morning) every 3-4 weekends

Charting System : EPIC electronic medical records

RNFA Qualifications – Travel Nurse Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RNFA experience, including CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience

Active Kentucky or compact RN license required

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Credentialing through Medical Affairs (privileging) required

Experience with EPIC charting system preferred

Ability to float within scope of practice as needed

COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)

Professional appearance standards : no nose rings or gauged earrings; natural fingernails under 1 / 4"

Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred

RNFA Responsibilities – Operating Room Nursing Jobs

Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures : cardiac, vascular, general, orthopedic, gynecologic, thoracic, ENT, neurosurgery, plastics, and robotic surgeries

Perform endoscopic and open vein harvesting, minimally invasive cardiac procedures, and standard CABG procedures

Provide expert intraoperative assistance, including suturing wound layers and tying / ligating vessels or tissues

Maintain strict sterile technique and safety protocols in the operating room

Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR

Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled weekend coverage

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, etc.)

Deliver patient care for adults and geriatrics in a fast-paced OR environment
