Job Summary
The Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association is looking for a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join their growing team. The CRNA plays a crucial role in providing safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures in our ambulatory surgery center. This position offers the opportunity to work in a physician owned medical practice dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients to determine their anesthesia needs and develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
- Administer anesthesia according to established protocols and standards of care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological responses throughout the perioperative period, adjusting anesthesia as necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Manage anesthesia-related emergencies and complications promptly and effectively, collaborating with other healthcare providers as needed.
- Provide post-anesthesia care as appropriate.
- Document anesthesia care, patient assessment findings, and perioperative events accurately and comprehensively in the medical record.
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure smooth perioperative care processes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to anesthesia services.
- Maintain proficiency in anesthesia techniques, equipment, and pharmacology through ongoing education and professional development activities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous improvement in all aspects of anesthesia care delivery.
Qualifications
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of PA and certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).Master's degree or higher from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.Strong clinical skills and knowledge of anesthesia principles, techniques, and medications.Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate anesthesia care independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.Benefits & Pay
