Job descriptionCentral Texas Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. Current Registered Nurse Licensure required. Minimum of 6 months med-surg experience. Basic computer knowledge. Appropriate communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal & written). Able to notify physician using SBAR format. Able to work independently. Licensed RN required. Shift : day 0645-1915 / night 1845-0715. Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 36. Weekend Hours : every other weekend required (Friday-Sunday). Call Requirements : if the nurse calls out on weekend, then they must make up shift on following weekend. Minimum 2-hour time limit before shift starts if calling out. Facility Department / Cost Center : Chronic 106. Specialty : med-surg, rehab, ortho / neuro / spinal cord. Patient Ratios : 1 : 8. Equipment : stethoscope. EHR : Pinpoint. Patient Population : geriatric / adult. Common Diagnosis / Treatment : SCI, TBI, Stroke, LVAD, ortho, amputee, wound care (burns, ostomy, wound vac). Unit Profile : Facility Department / Cost Center : Chronic 106. Role : RN. Specialty : med-surg, rehab, ortho / neuro / spinal cord. Number of Openings : 4 (2 day, 2 night). Number of Beds : 50. Patient Ratios : 1 : 8. Equipment : stethoscope. EHR : Pinpoint. Patient Population : geriatric / adult. Common Diagnosis / Treatment : SCI, TBI, Stroke, LVAD, ortho, amputee, wound care (burns, ostomy, wound vac). Personality Fit : Must be cooperative, team player, compassionate, empathetic, kind. Scrub Color : royal blue. Time to Report : 0645 (day shift) / 1845 (night shift). Who to ask for upon arrival : House supervisor, report to 2nd floor nurse station to begin shift report and start shift. Parking : Rear of building.
