Overview
Walker Elliott is working with a leading operator in the DFW area seeking a Senior Land Tech. The position supports the land team and ongoing land activities in Texas. This is a full-time role with a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed land and title research to confirm mineral ownership, lease status, spacing, and well participation interests in support of AFE approval for operated and non-operated wells.
- Collaborate with Land, Drilling, and Regulatory teams to prepare and submit AFEs, track partner elections, and coordinate with Accounting and Land Administration for proper billing and remittance.
- Assist in drafting, circulating, and administering contracts and assignments as directed by the Land team.
- Manage the preparation and processing of land documents, including JOAs, unit agreements, and related exhibits.
- Work closely with Land Administration to ensure accurate setup of leases, contracts, and division orders.
- Partner with Mapping staff to review and maintain current land maps and related data.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a Land or Land Administration role within the upstream oil and gas industry.Strong working knowledge of leases, titles, and contracts.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel advanced).Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field—or equivalent land experience.Do not apply unless you are authorized to work in the United States for any employer as client company cannot sponsor or transfer visas at this time.
