The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire a Behavior Specialist II who has experience working with Adults with Serious Mental Illness and Co-occurring disorders in a Behavioral Health Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) program for our Beach House day program.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with organizing, and ensuring quality service delivery of Beach House.
- Assist Beach House Supervisor and clinicians in the development, evaluation and direction of program.
- Provide intra and inter agency communication and collaboration.
- Promote city, unit, and program mission.
- Assist in developing and maintaining policies to promote program effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide clinical assessment, clinical intervention, case management, vocational, crisis intervention and prevention, program coordination, and counseling services in a psychosocial setting with an emphasis on skill-building via psychoeducational groups and skill acquisition activities / duties.
- Assist in community integration of Beach House consumers.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Maintain accurate and competent records.
- Adhere to Medicaid regulations and licensure requirements.
- Performs initial and on-going clinical assessments and develops individualized person-centered treatment plans, updating regularly
- Completes progress notes, Care Plans, ISP's and quarterly reviews.
